This is a continuously updated graph of poll averages comparing Fidesz and Tisza according to work done by Telex.
Poll averages and trends are a stronger indicator than a poll run by any one pollster at any moment in time.
Telex’s description of the data is as follows:
“This chart considers the available and most comparable research from these polling companies: 21 Kutatóközpont, Idea, Medián, Nézőpont, Publicus, Republikon and Závecz. The surveys were conducted on samples of 1,000–1,500 people (in some cases larger), either representative or corrected using statistical methods with multi-factor weighting based on Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH) data.
For the chart, we used the data closest to the most likely party list result; where available, this was based on voters who had chosen a party and promised certain participation. In some cases for the Tisza Party, we worked with data published under the name “Péter Magyar’s party” or with figures relating to the European Parliament (EP) list.
To display the average of the parties, we took into account interpolated values between the data collection dates of each institute, or their latest measured data.”
