Slimy-mouth jokes about Menczer

The meme is a  reference to the day that Tamas Menczer — Fidesz’s Communications Director – accosted Peter Magyar while he was trying to hand over Christmas gifts to children in need. Menczer got up in Magyar’s face and said aggressively: “Na mi van, kicsi? Vege van, kicsi!” (which translates to “What’s up little guy? It’s over, little guy!” This became an instant meme in Hungary, firstly because it’s gross that someone in the government would say such a think to an opposition leader in such an aggressive manner, and secondly because Tisza has been zooming up in the polls – so it’s a bit premature to tell the party’s leader that “it’s over.”

Anyway, the scene got more ridiculous becuase then Magyar told Menczer he had bad breath, and do het his frothing mouth out of his face. And, as you can see, that brings us very neatly to the saliva-mouthed alien from the Aliens movie. What a meme!

Menczer again!

Another meme from the above Menczer incident features the iconic TV Bear — an iconic Hungarian television show about a cute little bear and his evening routine. One of the memorably clips from TV Bear is the sound he makes when he brushes his teeth. I didn’t grow up in Hungary but even I remember watching it on my holidays there at my grandparent’s apartment.

Anyway, one of the thing Magyar retorted to Menczer when Menczer accosted him was “Your breath stinks!” After the incident, Magyar himself reposted this meme showing Menczer’s face as the TV Bear. LOL.

Poor Menczer...not him again!

There is a YouTuber, who I definitely recommend you follow: Gróf Balázs. He does some really good political cartoons. For example, the one above is about the Menczer-Magyar incident and it shows snow falling for Christmas, but then we see that Menczer is actually Hungarian PM Orban’s pitbull and that he’s frothing over a photo of Magyar and that’s what the snow really is. Gross but great!

Need I say more...

Most people who support Tisza would like to turn the page on the Orban / Gyurcsany dichotomy — the first is the current Prime Minister (Viktor Orban) and the second is the disgraced Former Prime Minister (Ferenc “Feri” Gyurcsany) who won’t do the classy thing and leave political life for good.

This meme is funny because it clearly portrays the decades-long red-pill-blue-pill choice between two unpalatable candidates.

Zebra pride

In one of Peter Magyar’s social posts in March 2025, he made reference to the fact that Orban family keeps zebras at their Hatvanpuszta manor that has been extensively luxuriated. Just a week prior, Orban had implemented a law that would make holding Pride in Budapest a fine-able offence.

Alphabet soup

This meme shows Viktor Orban having a tomato alphabet soup where the letters spell out “Vege van, kicsi!” (It’s over, little guy!”) which is something that Fidesz’s Communications Director Tamas Menczer said to Peter Magyar when Menczer accosted Magyar outside a children’s home. For Tisza supporters, the phrase is also used to communicate to Orban that “it’s over.”

This is the former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany who is universally loathed in Hungary. His Prime Ministership ended in disgrace when he resigned in 2009. However, he never left political life and this is one of the reasons that Orban has been able to win elections again and again…. there was always the boogyeman of Gyurcsany hanging everyone’s head. “If you don’t vote for me, you’ll get Gyurcsany again!”

In any case, since Peter Magyar is on the scene Gyurcsany’s relevance has been totally diminished, but he still does occasional and increasingly desperate interviews where he tries to remain in the game. The meme above shows Gyurcsany wearing a sign saying “I’m Peter Magyar too!”
